Chiswick Regatta – Race Report WMasCD 2x

May 12, 2025

We were racing against Tideway Scullers and Fulham Reach. Despite having only had a few outings together we were looking forward to racing. Our hearts sank a little though when we were informed that the two other crews would be given a 9 second head start! After a looong 9 seconds, we finally started our race and had a good racing start. A little hiccup occurred in the middle when bow caught a crab but we managed to get back in to our rhythm again and had a better final half. Unfortunately we finished last. 9 seconds was just too much time to make up over a short distance. We enjoyed the race though and it was good to get the first regatta under our belts.
