Head of the Charles ’25

Oct 18, 2025

QBC members Dave Allen and Ken Creighton just returned from Boston where they rowed with their university alumni club, the Olden Bears (graduates of the University of California at Berkeley, the Golden Bears).

Ken and Dave were 5 and 4 seats in one of two Olden Bears eights in the 50+ category. They came 15th overall and achieved their goal winning guaranteed entry for the 2026 regatta. In doing so they edged out Dartmouth by less than a second. Also defeating a Crabtree crew from the UK and many others.

Here you can watch an interview featuring Ken and Dave HOCR X JRN | Saturday at The Head Of The Charles 2025.

The results for the Men’s Grand Master Eights [50+] division may be found here.
