Three More Wins for Tom Bishop

Jul 26, 2025

Since our last report on his successes Tom Bishop has chalked up three more wins, one of them with Geoff Peel.

At Henley Masters on Saturday 12th July he and Geoff won Masters I quad sculls in a composite with Lee Brown and Rod Stewart of Upper Thames RC. On Sunday 13th July Tom also won Mixed Masters quad sculls in a composite with Hilary Cook (Mortlake Anglian and Alpha BC), Sarah Talbot (Wycliffe College BC) and Rod Stewart (UTRC).

On 26th July Tom competed at Staines Regatta in both Open single sculls and Masters I singles. In the open event Tom lost a closely contested semi-final to a youngster from Staines BC, probably nearly 60 years his junior, the verdict 1¾ lengths. In the Masters I event Tom had a more comfortable row, beating Morley of Weybridge RC by 4 lengths.

These three wins bring Tom’s regatta tally to 17 so far this year. Congratulations, Tom!

The results from Henley Masters may be found on their website and from Staines at https://www.stainesregatta.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Staines-Amateur-Regatta-Results-2025.pdf.
