Upper Thames Autumn Head

Oct 26, 2025

UTAH is for every boat size from 8’s to 2- and 2x, but not single sculls. Boats were out in all classes as it is on the Henley Royal Regatta Course for a large part of the 3km race.

Tom Bishop was the only QBC representative and competed in a 2x with Rod Stewart of UTRC in the morning division and a 4x  composite in the afternoon with Rod plus  Lee Brown UTRC and Bob Milligan PBDRC. The morning 10.30 am start was cold and they started second last of 250 boats and it was freezing, but once they got going they managed to beat the other F G H doubles.  In the afternoon the 2.00pm division they started earlier in the list and didn’t get as cold. They had a good race and managed to again win well. A good practise for the Vets 4’s head!!

The full results may be downloaded here from the UTRC website.
