This year’s annual general meeting of the club was marked by two special events: the election of Lionel Bailey as the new president and the retirement of Malcolm Cook as honorary secretary after many years of service to the club. Lionel joined the club as a seventeen year old in 1964 and takes over the role from John Peters, who has been president for the last ten years. As a sign of appreciation by the club for Malcolm’s long service as secretary, he was presented with a club blazer.
