Duncan Hughes

Captain

Racing Tipster, breeder of fine shooting dogs and a highly accomplished oarsman. Duncan brings decades of experience to his second stint as the Quintin Captain.

Mark Chatwin

Vice Captain

Joined Quintin in 1998, has raced for the club at many different events, including multiple HRRs. Stepped down as Captain last year, after 16 years. Still does almost everything at the club! 😜

Cian Tan

Vice Captain

Cian joined Quintin BC in October 2022 and has since represented the Club at various races, from the Tideway heads to Marlow and Henley Royal Regattas. Cian learnt to row at Barts and The London B.C., one of the six United Hospitals colleges, where he has previously served as Men’s Captain, President, and Academic Officer. 

 

Dave King

Committee Chair

Dave is a former Captain of QBC. He rows with the Barflies Squad and has been a member of the Club for over 35 years. He is also a Trustee of Chiswick Rowing Trust, a past captain of The Richmond Golf Club and a Younger Brother of Trinity House.

Huw Jones

Huw has been rowing at Quintin since school - so quite a few years. Huw now rows with the Masters squad and has won at National and International events. He's also competed at many Henley Masters regattas and various other interesting events such as the 'Illes de Lerins', Cannes and the Volgalonga rowing festival around Venice and it's lagoon.

Jo Midgley

A relative newbie to the world of rowing Jo learnt in her 50s as part of a learn to row group at another local club in Chiswick. She joined Quintin along with the other “Quintets” in 2021 and continues to enjoy women's recreational rowing on a weekly basis with her crew and enjoys the social side of being a member at the club too.

Sophie Young

Sophie joined Quintin in March 2023. She has since competed in a number of regattas with her Pair partner Jessica Hardwick, including Henley Women’s Regatta & Henley Royal Regatta. Sophie joined Quintin from Auriol Kensington where she Sat on the committee for a number of years holding various positions including Vice Captain, and Welfare Officer.

Beks Chatwin

Entries Secretary
Beks joined Quintin in the 2015-16 season having been persuaded by Mark (her now husband) to join as a cox. Beks had rowed for our neighbours MAABC for the previous decade. She coxed the QBC Thames Cup crew to the Friday of HRR that season.
Since joining Quintin Beks must notable wins include 2 Fours Head pennants (one rowing and one coxing), a WeHORR pennant (coxing) and a win in the lightweight double sculls at the Home International Regatta for Wales.
After a spell on the committee, Beks is now a non committee member who is our entries secretary, organises the annual dinner and is secretary of Chiswick regatta.
