Learn to Row Information

Objectives

This course will prepare you to scull safely and confidently in a crew and is structured to allow you to join the Quintin Boat Club smoothly upon its successful completion.

The course will focus rigorously on proper sculling technique and will include a mix of on-the-water and land training sessions to achieve this aim. All participants will build a solid foundation on which they can progress toward becoming a confident recreational rower or toward earning a spot in one of our club’s racing crews.

Our goal is to get you on the water as soon as safely possible! Participants will scull on our beautiful stretch of the Thames in quads (four people to a boat, two blades/oars each).

Coaches
